evon (Evaluation Online) Charter

evon (Evaluation Online) is an Online Group for staff of SHORE/Whariki involved with evaluation.

The purpose of evon (Evaluation Online) is to encourage collaboration between SHORE and Whariki evaluators and to enhance the evaluation capabilities of the evaluation team and of individual evaluators across Whariki and SHORE.

evon (Evaluation Online) was opened 30 May 2006 and will run indefinitely.

Membership and Roles

Membership of evon (Evaluation Online) is open to all staff of SHORE/Whariki involved with evaluation.

The evon (Evaluation Online) Home Page shows the parts of evon (Evaluation Online) that can be seen and contributed to by members and non-members.

You are not a member of evon (Evaluation Online). Membership of evon (Evaluation Online) is by invitation only.

The Participation Coach in evon (Evaluation Online) is Wendy Henwood, whose role it is to encourage and assist the other group Members to participate effectively in evon (Evaluation Online).

The Owner of evon (Evaluation Online) is SHORE/Whariki owner (jointly) with one nominated representative from each. evon (Evaluation Online) is administered by OnlineGroups.Net.

Participation Protocol

By participating in evon (Evaluation Online), Members agree to the following.

  • Respect the privacy and intellectual property rights of the other evon (Evaluation Online) members. (evon (Evaluation Online) is a confidential group; do not forward other people's posts without their consent.)
  • Write clear and thoughtful posts as described in the User Guide.

Participants in evon (Evaluation Online) are encouraged to carry out the following.

  • Share information and technical input on evaluation issues that are shared by all SHORE/Whariki evaluators.
  • Collaborate to develop and advocate for best practice in evaluation.
  • Communicate with each other about evaluation activities and issues.
  • Facilitate training and upskilling of SHORE/Whariki evaluators.
  • Explore and discuss effective online collaboration.
